about
Vitória Galli was born in Bebedouro, Brazil, in 1995, and lives and works in Lisbon. She studied law at the University of Coimbra and found in textiles a new way of working with her hands and of developing a language of her own.
Her practice is self-taught and grows out of an interest in nature, organic forms, memory and the relationships between colour, texture and material.
She works mainly with natural wool and with techniques such as tufting, punch needle, hand weaving and free embroidery.

commissions
Everything starts with an idea.
Tapestries, mirror frames and wall pieces can grow out of a conversation, a reference, a colour, or simply a space that is crying out for life and art.
From there, we shape the process together, and the piece is made by hand, with thought for the design, the colours, the materials and the way it will fill that place.
The atelier also keeps a selection of pieces ready to take home.
